While Hawaiian Air consistently offers some of the lowest fares online, the airline itself is top rank. In fact, the U.S. Department of Transportation Air Travel Consumer Report issued in December, designated Hawaiian Airlines as the leading airline in the nation for service in 2004, ranking Hawaiian (Hawaii’s oldest airline) as first in punctuality, second in baggage handling and boarding reliability, and in the top five on consumer complaints.
Once you find the fare you want, be prepared to purchase. Because airlines sell only a limited number of seats at the lowest fares, when those seats sell out, the price goes up!
Keep in mind that due to the nature of the online travel service business, you won’t always find the best deal at the same place or on the same day. Sometimes just changing either the departure or return date brings a better fare.
