Malaekahana Sunrise, Oahu Hawaii
My family will tell you I am not a morning person. I felt so lucky though to wake up in time to climb out of my tent and enjoy the awesomeness of a Hawaii sunrise. And then I went promplty back to sleep. About 9 am got up, poured a cup of a coffee that our camping neighbor had started brewing, and enjoyed the scenery. The beach at water's edge was a few feet from our tent. Save for one couple and far away at the other end, a young man with his dog, Malaekana Bay's beach was deserted. I walked down to the cliffs and there was a local man casting a net for fish. Great morning! Friends of Malaekahana is one of my favorite campgrounds in Hawaii.
